In the wake of the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High, Lauren Gunderson (the country’s most produced playwright) launched the “Natural Shocks National Project,” a national campaign of theatre activism that coincided with the 19th anniversary of Columbine and the 2018 National School Walkout. The Project offered over 100 royalty-free benefit readings of Gunderson’s play Natural Shocks across 45 states.

I produced the NY reading alongside WP Theater and Christina Wallace, to raise funds for the Ms. Foundation's gun and domestic violence programs. The performance, which featured Kathy Najimy, was only possible thanks to the generosity and collaboration of Director Caitlin Sullivan, Set Designer John McDermott, Lighting Designer Isabella Byrd, Sound Designer Emma Wilk, and Stage Manager Hannah Woodward.
